Between unique events and important collaborations: when a bar becomes a brand

It takes courage to change;  it is not for everyone to challenge new horizons, to bring a burst of novelty without ever losing sight of the dimension in which you find yourself. But whoever finds the courage to do so is destined for great things.  This is the story of the new Bar Grotta Azzurra Capri, an adventure that began 10 years ago, under the management of Adelmo Viva and Irma Nastri. A historic bar in Marina Grande that is undergoing an impressive restyling, both in form and content. At the base of these changes, the desire to improve, to offer something different to the beautiful hamlet of the island of Capri.

April 21 will be the tenth anniversary of the renovation of the restaurant, entrusted to the wise and professional consultancy of Picariello Arredi Design, who knew how to give shape to the ideas of the hosts, and who was also entrusted with the creation of the Gourmet Grotta Azzurra this year.  But the important things have not changed: the quality of the products offered to customers has remained the same, as has the strong vocation for the territory. Bar Grotta Azzurra Capri continues to offer a comfortable and tailor-made table service, very similar to that of one of the typical bars that we could find in any square of a small town on our splendid peninsula. A service therefore far from the anonymous and impersonal ones of the purely tourist-oriented bars

At the basis of the new concept of the Blue Grotto Capri Bar, however, there is the idea of targeting very different customer targets. And it is from this intuition that, for example, the collaboration, inaugurated almost a decade ago, with Italesse, a leading company in the production of polycarbonate products, was born.  From the partnership with this renowned reality, a line of glasses and seau a glace in polycarbonate was born, ideal to be enjoyed on boats. Another significant collaboration is with Tonino Lamborghini, from which an energy drink and a vodka “branded” with the iconic logo of the Bolognese car company are born.

And again, managing a place that really wants to leave a mark on the area where it is located means offering people opportunities to be together, organizing unique events in the name of good humor.  Thus, last summer the Bar Grotta Azzurra Capri organized a dinner with tasting, combined with a fashion show in collaboration with the Capri brand Y’Am Capri. A real evening event, held on July 15, 2020, with tasting of Bellavista Franciacorta products in collaboration with Selecta, supplier of quality products for restaurants and wine bars.

The new restrictions regarding the pandemic have unfortunately blocked events for now, but certainly not the new ideas. And so comes the intuition of the “Easter egg in foulard”, presented on the occasion of Easter 2021: handmade eggs by Bar Grotta Azzurra in four flavors: milk chocolate, dark, hazelnut milk and hazelnut dark, unique creations, fruit of the art and passion of the pastry chefs of Gourmet Grotta Azzurra.
